Cleon N. Daskalakis, President

The 1997 Founder of CFC, Mr. Daskalakis is a graduate of Boston University's School of Management, which he attended on a full hockey scholarship. While at Boston University, Mr. Daskalakis won the Bean Pot Championship in 1982 and was named a Second Team ECAC All Star in 1983, a First Team ECAC All Star in 1984, and an All American in 1984 as well. Also in 1984, Mr. Daskalakis was named the first runnerup for the Hobey Baker Award, which is awarded annually to the nations best collegiate hockey player, and that same year, Mr. Daskalakis signed as a free agent with the Boston Bruins of the NHL. In 1985, as a member of the American Hockey League's Hershey Bears, he won the Calder Cup and in 1990 he was named ECAC goaltender of the decade. After playing professionally in the AHL, NHL, and in Europe, Mr. Daskalakis retired from hockey in 1993. Currently, Mr. Daskalakis is the President of Celebrity Marketing, Inc., a sports marketing and event production firm that he founded in 1996, and a Trustee of the New England Sports Museum, which he serves on a volunteer basis. Mr. Daskalakis' service as CFC's President is on a voluntary basis. He also serves as a Director on CFC's Board of Directors.
